What we do
Custom software
Whole products, built end to end. Mobile and web applications, backend services, data pipelines, and the Linux infrastructure underneath them. Delivered running, tested and documented, not as a prototype that someone else has to finish.
Applied AI
Machine learning that has to survive contact with production: on-device computer vision, game AI written from scratch, and evaluation of models against the work they are actually meant to do. Grounded in computer science rather than in whichever framework is current, and paired with straight advice about where the technology helps and where it does not.
Training
Technical training for working professionals, from developer tooling and version control to the foundations of AI for managers and executives. Delivered as workshops, as courses, or as video that an organisation keeps. Fully bilingual: training and workshops delivered in both English and French.
Selected work
ChessCraft
A chess variant sandbox for Android, iOS and PC. Players build their own boards, rules and pieces, then play them against a custom-built AI opponent or against each other online. Over one million installs. Designed, built, published and supported in-house.
Heimdall
A project scanner for the supercomputer weather simulations run by Canada's national weather service. It reads a project's configuration, scripts and job definitions and reports errors, broken dependencies and departures from best practice across more than a hundred distinct cases. The reports it produces are fully bilingual, in English and French. Before Heimdall those faults surfaced at runtime or not at all, and it is now required for all operational deliveries.
Mr Bookie
Supercomputer resource optimisation at Canada's national weather service. It manages the spikes in demand that otherwise leave expensive compute oversubscribed or sitting idle, and saves a great deal of money doing it. The work earned a departmental award from Environment Canada.
Turtle Shelf
An Android app that photographs a bookshelf, finds the individual spines, reads the text off each one, and turns a wall of books into a rated, searchable library. A trained detection model running on the phone, with a book text matching and recommendation backend service behind it.
